Care Guide

To ensure your jewelry retains its beauty for years to come, please follow these care instructions.

18k Yellow Gold

To clean your yellow gold jewelry, mix a little soap with warm water. Make sure that the soap you use does not contain chlorine or other harsh detergents. Soak your jewelry in this solution for a few minutes, then take it out and rub gently with a lint free or microfiber cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry a with microfiber cloth.

Please note that items with antiquing, such as the Initial Pendants should never be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner or with harsh cleaners. This can bleach the color of the antiquing. Which can be restored should this happen.

Store in a soft cloth or pouch to prevent the gold from rubbing against other jewelry.

As contact with rough surfaces will lead to scratches and rhodium wear, it's recommended to remove your jewelry before doing any active or heavy work.

18k White Gold

White gold jewelry receives a rhodium coating which creates its lustrous white appearance. Over time and contact with surfaces including other jewelry, the rhodium plating can wear off. However, if this happens you can simply take your item to a jeweler to have it recoated. Most jewelry shops offer this service for a small fee and you will have your jewelry looking new again.

18k Gold & Enamel

Avoid impacts as dropping enamel on hard surfaces can crack the enamel. Store the item in a soft cloth or pouch to prevent it from rubbing against other jewelry items. This can lead to chips or scratches in the enamel. Do not wear adjacent to diamond rings  that have the prongs or diamonds in direct contact with the enamel.

Do not clean enamel in ultrasonic jewelry cleaners or with ammonia-based cleaners. Do not wear while using harsh chemicals, household cleaners are hand soaps. Do not wear enamel pieces in a swimming pool.

Keep the shine by wiping the enamel and high polished surfaces with a soft cloth to remove dirt and smudges. Microfiber cloths work well. You can also rinse with lukewarm water and use the microfiber cloth to pat dry.

Sterling Silver

Tarnishing is a natural reaction when sterling silver is in the presence of salt water, air pollutants or everyday items that contain sulfur. Avoid chemical contact such as cleaning products, hairspray and perfumes. Regular wearing of sterling silver jewelry can also help prevent tarnishing.

To clean your sterling silver jewelry, mix a little mild soap with warm water, soak your jewelry in this solution for a few minutes, rinse and dry with a clean soft cotton cloth. Then polish with the sterling silver cleaning cloth provided. If heavily tarnished, we recommend Wright's Silver Polishing Paste or Hagerty's Silver Clean for sterling silver jewelry.
